Windy Hill was founded in 1993 by a retired dressage rider who trained and rode a local bred Arab cross mare to intermediate levels of competition. The program started at her retirement from competition, with the intent of breeding Arabian horses for the olympic disciplines of dressage and eventing. In 1997 the program began specializing in Straight Egyptian Arabian bloodstock, and in 2000 a handful of select Trakehner warmblood mares were added to the program.
Windy Hill has grown to specialize in older Straight Egyptian Arabian, and Trakehner warmblood bloodlines, with a goal in producing correct, beautiful and athletic horses suitable for amateur and professional riders who want to compete in dressage, hunters, eventing, endurance, and in hand competitions.
